Designed to help you walk your dog, rather than the other way around, the Handy Halter® combines a figure-of-8 collar and lead system that gently encourages better lead manners without relying on force.

Unlike a standard slip lead, the Handy Halter® is a fully formed figure-of-8 design, making it easy to fit, adjust and use. It has been handmade in the UK since 1998 using soft yet strong rope braid that is comfortable for your dog and durable enough for everyday walks.

The Handy Halter® is ideal for boisterous dogs, lively puppies and dogs that pull on the lead. The figure-of-8 design can help improve lead manners, provide greater control and make walks calmer and more enjoyable.

Available Lengths & Sizes

All lead lengths are measured from the collar to the handle and include extra length for the neck and nose loops.

8mm Country – approx. 45″ / 114cm: For small to medium dogs and close control.
10mm Country – approx. 39″ / 1m: For medium to large dogs and closer handling.
8mm & 10mm Freedom – approx. 59″ / 1.5m: For more relaxed walks and gentle exploration.
8mm & 10mm Freedom+ – approx. 79″ / 2m: Ideal for dogs who enjoy more room to sniff and explore.
8mm & 10mm X-Long – approx. 118″ / 3m: For extra freedom while maintaining control.

This company has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their products are beautifully made and to a very high standard.

I mistakenly missed a line from my address when ordering which meant the parcel was sent back to sender, I mentioned it to Sarah and before I knew it another parcel had been boxed up and sent out with the updated address. I offered to pay for the postage as it was clearly my mistake but it was politely refused. I was blown away by the customer service and I will be using them again for sure.

What fantastic customer service from this small company. I ordered two 8mm slip leads and when they arrived, realised I really needed 10mm leads. Sarah has been an absolute star, she posted out two replacements immediately, even before I had a chance to get to my local post office. Great product and fast, seamless delivery. Have a puppy who was pulling on the lead a lot and actually hurting themselves and developing a cough due to pressure from the flat collar. Bought the Handy Halter training lead and it’s instantly stopped him pulling. Great value for money. I had a problem with the lead briefly (my own fault!!) and got an answer to my query within 15 minutes. Cannot fault the customer service or products and will definitely buy from here again and recommend to others.

I purchased a pink dashhound collar for my miniature dachshund, beautifully made…….why I gave the review three stars was I would have preferred to have the clips the same colour as the material because being black on a small puppy the collar looks to heavy around her neck…..I am keeping the collar just because I love it and will maybe order more if they change their clips, this is just my personal preference

Such a superb company with great products and wonderful customer service. I originally ordered a 15m training lead and after their very quick turnaround and delivery, realised it was going to be far too long for our dog, so (before using it) I returned it and asked for it to be reduced to a 7m one. Another quick turnaround, and 2 shorter leads from the original one was delivered. So kind of them. The lead(s) is ideal for training with a comfortable handle and easy to use clip, and can be shortened again, whilst on the move. Thank you so much!

Totally amazing customer service and products. Dont hesitate to order from this fabulous small company. I ordered 2 very pretty collars for my dog. They were a little on the big side so ordered again for smaller size. Immediately, my phone rang to offer help as I had reordered. I decided to keep my first order to give to my grandpuppy for Christmas. The second order fitted a treat and I love the choice of colours/patterns selected.
